Cynthia McGee

Founder / Executive Director

Cynthia McGee is the Director of Children Matter Family Life Center. As an adopted child and former foster parent, she understands the emotional challenges a child removed from their parents goes through. She knows that children in placement homes are caught in the crossfire of choices they had nothing to do with and has a passion for helping them be reunited with their families when their parents are ready to provide a safe and loving home.

With over 25 years of experience working with youth and children, she understands the importance of their emotional needs being met along with basic needs and safety. Cynthia has 17 years of experience teaching parenting classes and recognizes that some parents need to be trained in parenting skills because of their upbringing. As a former foster parent, she also understands the support and resources are necessary to care for children in crisis effectively. Cynthia has a heart for children in crisis, and that passion inspired her to start Children Matter the Most Family Life Center.

Kenneth McGee

Co-founder / Chief Financial Officer

Kenny, a former Manager at Capital Group Mutual Funds Company, has spent 27 years mentoring young adults, teenagers, and children. He is passionate about family and legacy. He strives to help break unhealthy generational cycles and foster long-term change.

For nearly two decades, Kenny has taught parent and leadership classes, promoting family success and empowering children. He received the Honors Award for Executive Administrator Excellence for his 20 years in nonprofit leadership.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Cum Laude, from Post University’s Malcolm Baldridge School of Business, focusing on innovation, quality, integrity, and leadership.

Cyrae Mereigh

Operations Director

Cyrae has over ten years of hands-on experience with children and families. She gained experience as a Personal Nanny, Household Manager, Early Education Teacher, and Children’s Pastor. Her experience with children and families, Degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma Wesleyan University, her experience as an Office Manager and Sales Manager makes her the perfect Operations Director for Children Matter.

Cyrae loves children and has a heart for strong families. She looks forward to strengthening families and ensuring that children are loved and safe.

Kendria Kies

Case Management Director

Kendria graduated with her Bachelors of Behavioral Science from Oral Roberts University and a Masters of Behavioral Science and Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University. She has a passion for people and a love for helping children and families.

She comes with experience in the Juvenile Court System, Case Management, and Children's Hospital Social Work. She is ready to serve the families in San Antonio and surrounding areas.
